Our history
History of Beulahland Christian School formerly Bustling Bears Montessori School
Beulahland Christian School (BCS) a Montessori institution formerly Bustling Bears Montessori School (BBMS) was established and registered with the Registrar Generals Department and Ghana Education Service in 2002. In January 2003, the preschool began its full operations with one room and uncompleted building after dedication on 17th December 2002, a date significant to the reason of the establishment of the school.
Beulahland Christian School formerly Bustling Bears Montessori School was established in memory of Mrs. Alikem Afi Klu-Gaveh who died in active service as a qualified Educationist in 1982. She was born on 17th December 1936 and buried 18th December 1982.
The school upon opening, enrolled one pupil by name Amina with two teachers on the first day. After a week, two other children joined and subsequently the growth process began.
In September 2006, the primary department began its operations but the school faced some challenges which resulted in a downturn in 2008. Between 2008 and 2013, the school suffered many unforeseen difficulties which eventually led to the change of the name with a renewed vision, focus and direction as led by the Lord.
Upon a revelation by the Founder – Mrs. Grace Enyonam Adomako, the name of the school was changed to Beulahland Christian School (Montessori) deriving the name from the bible scripture Isaiah 62:4 “The Land will no more be called forsaken but call Hephibah and Beulah” signifying God’s divine favour, blessing, prosperity and fruitfulness.
The school was rebuilt on the foundation of the Gospel of Christ and in the memory of Mrs. Alikem Afi Klu-Gaveh, to provide Christian based and holistic education to children irrespective of race, religion and status.
